Legs
I added 15 extra rounds to each leg (after Rnd 16) so that he can cross his legs.
Body
I added 5 extra rounds (after Rnd 22).
Arms
I added 3 extra rounds to the hands (after Rnd 4) and
another 10 extra rounds (after Rnd 14). (Total of 13 extra rounds so that he can fold his arms).
Ears
(Make 2)
7hdc in a magic ring. Pull up the magic ring to form ear. (do not join the circle)

I started the hands in cream, switching to a light tan on the thumb row (Rnd 5 on the written pattern)…continue with the tan to the end of Rnd 9, then change to chosen skin colour - I stitched the mitten zigzag pattern over the top after the hands were stuffed.

Shoes
Brown yarn to the end of Rnd 10, change to black for pants.

Jacket
4.5mm hook to achieve a bigger look to the jacket.
Hoodie without the hood…extra rows added to allow for the extra rows added to the body and arms.
I added a collar.

Mask
Made in light blue, edged with white. White ties.
I wanted Bernie’s mask to be thinner on outer edges, so I started each row with 2sc, 3hdc…then worked dc to the last 5sts…then finished the row with 3hdc, 2sc.
I worked Row 2 in the front loops only and Row 3 in the back loops only, Row 4 in the front loops only, Row 5 back loops only to get a folded look.

Hair
I brushed out some white yarn with a pet slicker brush, cut into short lengths and needle-felted to the head. I only felted around the top of the hair.

To avoid increase lines on the bottom of the head,
I ‘split’ or stagger the increases like this;
Up to Rnd 34: As per pattern.
Rnd 35: 2sc, inc, * (4sc, inc) * repeat from * to * to last 2sts - finish the round with 2sc.
Rnd 36: As per pattern.
Rnd 37: 3sc, inc, * (6sc, inc) * repeat from * to * to last 3sts - finish the round with 3sc.
Rnd 38: As per pattern.
Rnd 39: 4sc, inc, * (8sc, inc) * repeat from * to * to last 4sts - finish the round with 4sc.
Rnd 40 and beyond: As per pattern.
So - the pattern hasn’t been altered at all!
You’ve simply moved the increases on all of the ‘even’ rounds and all ‘odd’ rounds remain the same
