Mitten 1 has come out rather large for my hands. I had adapted the pattern to make it a “flip-top mitten” and I think I will put my thumb hole in the flip top and steek out the thumb gusset that I added as part of the pattern. This will give me a nice length down past my wrist and arm and the mitten will fit my hand better at the top. For future reference, for my hand, I could skip one entire repeat of the little dogs with postbox on the chart.

On mitten 2, to get a snugger ribbing for the wrist, I cast on 60 stitches. On round 12, I increased one stitch in every 5 to get 72 stitches in time for the first cuff chart.
