I was gifted this gorgeous yarn, and the same yarn in DK weight, by my sister. I’ve known for a while I want to make these gloves for myself, but it’s a daunting prospect as a reluctant knitter. I need my dashboard to help me see progress: otherwise it hardly seems worth doing a row here or there because it grows so slowly.

I’ve finished the increases for the thumb on the first mitten, and am about to split the thumb off from the hand. Really pleased I’ve managed to keep going on this, and my spreadsheet is 100% the reason why. It’s been getting harder to meet the daily row rate as the rows are longer here, but the next few rows are much shorter, so it should all even out!

It’s hard work for me to keep up with this amount of knitting every day, but I’m managing it! I’m really motivated to complete these because I really want to wear them before the weather gets too warm.

Knitting finished! I was so keen to get these over with, I had a final big push. Just the seaming up to do now.

Very pleased with these - they give exactly the result I wanted!

I have small hands and they are very tight on me, which is how I like my gloves.

I’m casting on another pair right away, with a few modifications planned, but these are great just as they are.
