I chose this yarn because the Rowan yarn in the pattern has been discontinued and having tried Wendy Mode Chunky and found it impossible to obtain the right gauge, I went for the chunky softness of very affordable Drops Andes.

Because it is so bulky though, I got frustrated with the increasing weight of the cardigan and my fingers ached with the large needle size.

I was glad to see the back of this to be honest but my nephew says he likes the finished result, even if it is bigger than the pattern stated. ( I think the weight made my gauge looser than it was on the swatch).

Because my nephew is tall I added an extra 5cms to the sleeve length and also to the body of the cardigan.

I saw the errata on Ravelry - thank goodness!
