Trying out a new type of yarn is always exiting. This time I was tempted by Bamboozle from Crystal Palace Yarns. It feels soft and nice, it’s 55% bamboo, 24% cotton and 21% elastic nylon. I am knitting socks on needles size 3mm, although the yarn is supposed to be knit with needles size 5-6 mm. My sweater will have to rest now, I’m all eager to try this out!

.. continued: The pattern indicates a yarn amount of 2×50 grams. To the right on the second photo is what the sock looks like when made according to the pattern - huge! I reduced from 64 stitches to 48, and increased the needle size to 3.5 mm. The sock looks better now, but as you can see, the 50 grams bundle didn’t make it all the way.. If you plan on knitting these socks, make sure to adjust the stitches and purchase more yarn! Annoying, but that’s how it is.
