Notes

Remember the book I got from my youngest daughter for Christmas, Knitted Lace of Estonia? She’d attached a note on one of the patterns, with a less-than-subtle request on having it made for her. I’ve finished this shawl now! The pattern is not really visible on the photo, but if you look closely, you’ll spot that there are “bubbles” inside the squares. These were quite tricky to knit with regular round needles, so now I am ordering Addi lace needles, if I find some!

The yarn I’ve used is the same as on the model in the book; Polwarth Wool 2ply fingering wt. I purchased it from Canadian store Rovings. It’s an incredibly soft yarn, almost like alpaca. This will be a nice and warm shawl - I hope Therese will be happy with it!
