Having seen all the beautiful shawls being made by other knit bloggers, I couldn’t resist making one myself. I’ve knitted a few shawls before, but they have all been made with thicker yarn. This time I went with Kidopale on 4.5mm needles (the pattern says 5mm). With yarn as thin as sewing thread, I was a bit anxious to see what it would look like when such thick needles were used! While knitting I found the shawl becoming too light and transparent, which was not what I was looking for - I was thinking of using it with a dress on a chilly summer day and not with an evening gown.. However, when finished, the shawl turned out amazing!
