Notes

The Plain Yoke Tee is a simple, straightforward circular-yoke T-shirt that fits beautifully thanks to short-row shaping at the back. The pattern is available in several yarn weights, which is also reflected in the number in each version’s name.

For this one, I knitted the version with a gauge of 28 stitches per 10 cm. It’s the lightest-weight version, so it naturally takes a little longer to knit. But it was absolutely perfect for using the beautiful 4-ply/fingering-weight yarn I picked up at a yarn festival a while ago.

I can definitely recommend the Plain Yoke Tee to beginners who would like to try knitting a garment for the first time. Its simple shape allows you to focus on the construction itself and get a good understanding of how a circular-yoke garment comes together. After that, you’ll be well prepared for plenty of other circular-yoke T-shirts and sweaters.
