Cast on 88 stitches in worsted weight yarn. Next time I will knit the tube at least 20” long instead of the 18.25” given in the pattern. As it is, it is just a tad too short.
I embroidered the design before folding the hat, then knit the ends together and bound off with a stretchy bind-off stitch so I would have a defined edge.
