I cast on 266 for knitting the fronts and back together instead of 3 separate pieces. And I mis-calculated; I should have only cast on 263; so my left front has 3 more sts than the right front. I’m separating the back from each of the fronts with 9 sts of stockinette, the center st of which I will do faux side seams for extra structural support (and because I’ve never done them before!)

I don’t think I’ll ever do this pattern’s invisible cast on again - it was a bitch undoing it when it came time to knit the facing with the right side. I’ll have to look up Ysolda’s method used on some pattern of her’s that I’ve knit - can’t remember which one - but it was much easier.

I decided to add a little bit of waist-shaping: When I had about 11 inches knit up from the bottom, I decreased two sts on each side. I did the decreases at the beginning and the end of the 9-st side panels, reducing them to 7-st side panels.
