I was looking for something of a beanie-style hat that wasn’t boring. I came across this one, and it looks like it’s meant to be slightly slouchy, but I knit tightly so it came out just how I wanted.
I think the two columns of cables combining as one is a pretty cool idea. Not sure how much I love the diamond part of the pattern though… but I like the hat. Love Malabrigo! I have a few skeins but I still haven’t made myself anything with it until now. I do own a headband/earwarmer made from Malabrigo from a swap and I wear it all the time because I love the feel of the yarn so much. I figured it was about time I use some of the yarn and make a cozy winter hat!

P.S. I had trouble with the CO the first few times… but I finally figured it out and the hat was a cinch after that.
