Haha, mine is the 400th project!

My mum’s friend asked me to make a novelty pink & purple hat with a giant pompom for her friend to wear out in the town on her 30th birthday do. I think it’s supposed to be funny and a bit embarrassing, but I would proudly wear this EVERY DAY if I didn’t have to give it away :P Just need to sew a big 30 on the side in the same pink as the edging and pompom, then it’s done.

Squeaky yarn, and double stranding it on a 5mm/16-inch circular gave me epic hand cramp, but it worked up really quickly so it wasn’t too bad. Love it! But I’ll stick with a single strand for a looser fabric next time I use this yarn, cos this hat stands up on its own like a big plastic helmet.
