My sister’s getting married next summer and she asked me to make a little posy type thing for her flower girl. I don’t know whether I want to keep throwing things at it (sparkly beads and a butterfly!) or leave it simple, but we’ve still got about seven months to decide. It’s good enough for now. :D And I’m extra-pleased because I only taught myself how to crochet a couple of months ago.

This was so much easier than it looked, it’s just very repetitive and I’ve not yet found the knack of working without looking like I can when I knit. I knit whatever while I’m watching telly, but I can’t do even the mega simple crochet stuff without paying attention so it’s slow work and sort of boring. STILL, all new skills are worthwhile, and as long as it produces something I love as much as I love this then I don’t care. :D It’s a great pattern. I only used the Rowan cotton for the cream and pale pink flowers and it’s gorgeous to work with. The two greens were random leftover balls of acrylic I dug out of my stash, and the three different pink flowers were done with silk embroidery threads. I’m probably going to replace the two darker/brighter pink flowers you an see in the third picture, they stand out too much.
