I got this twinkly black yarn online and I expected the twinkle part to be silver, but when it arrived it was more like a really fine thread of cassette tape type stuff wound in with the acrylic and I LOVE IT, it’s so much more subtle than I expected.

Better photos to follow when it’s all finished and stretched around some board to hang on the wall, it’s really hard to get good photos while it’s still all curly on the needle.

The pattern is brilliant - the last illusion pattern I did was a bit looser than it should have been, so I’m knitting this one TIGHTLY on 2.5mm needles and it’s coming out loads better.

FOUR YEARS LATER…! I misplaced this when I moved house, then found it a couple of weeks ago and finished it off. It looks so good!!! Proserpine next as soon as I decide on colours.
