The second beanie from the “Ombre Hats Project” is dedicated to hydrangeas.
Fun fact:
Hydrangeas represent gratitude, grace and beauty. It also radiates abundance because of the lavish number of flowers and the generous round shape. Its colors symbolize love, harmony and peace.

Or… In Europe where they were used to declare arrogance and boastfulness. This association is based on the ability of the plant to produce many flowers but very few seeds. English men in the 1800s used to send hydrangeas to women who rejected them, accusing them of frigidity. Thanks to (SOME) Victorian men’s poor attitude and lack of empathy, it is believed that young women who grow hydrangeas in their front yard will never get married. In other words: if you’ve been unlucky in finding a partner, maybe you should check your grounds for hydrangeas.

But I’m digressing, let’s get back to business!
Starting from a pretty blush pink, the color is morphing into a cool toned baby pink, light lilac, and finally arrives to a slightly lilacky baby blue.
Once again, this beanie is absolutely unique thanks to the design and the materials used: it is, in fact, made from my own pattern and handmade yarn (from recycled cotton). Sustainable, vegan, and cute - what else is there to ask for?!
