Kind of, sort of followed pattern, but not really.
Mods:

• knit in rounds (1 knit row, 1 purl row, repeat to eternity and back)
• did a slipped-stich motif in the back (didn’t really like the chunky-looking ‘seam’ of the original)
• did way more decreases and increases for waist shaping and continued to increase through hips (every 10 garter ridges, or so): cuz it’s all about that bass!
• cast-on quite a few more sts than pattern calls for: i am a big girl and wanted the cowl to drop to my shoulders (i can’t recall exactly how many more, but it was something like 40 or 60)
• added 3 pairs of short rows over the bust

If i was going to do this again (HA! Ha! Ha!), i would not decrease so much at the neck. As it is, it’ll need an extra severe blocking to stretch it out a bit.

Luck o’ the non Irish: i got lucky but I am not Irish! Bought 1 skein of this glorious yarn at the Maryland Sheep and Wool festival in 2013, couldn’t think of anything to do with it… Went back to Sheep and Wool in 2014: the vendor had 3 more skeins in the same “dye lot”!!! Bought 2 more skeins that morning and in the late afternoon i went back and bought the last skein: good thing, too, since i ended up needing it!

Brought this to Europe last autumn to try and finish it… Didn’t. Brought it back to Canada during Christmas holidays to try and finish it. Didn’t. Finally finished it on the plane BACK to Europe: good thing, too since it was so humid and a bit chilly in Copenhagen! :)
