I had to take a break due to a hand injury. I started back up on it early Nov, 2018. Once it was complete and joined i felt it was smaller then I wanted so I added strips along the side and rows of squares along the top and bottom.

For the strips I made them about 5in square and there are 11 alternating patterned squares of Box Fan and Twisted Braid.

Along the top and bottom they are 14in squares four across.
Stars and Stripes square I did in DC instead of HDC as the pattern called for to get it to size.
