IMPORTANT: I made mine bigger than the original pattern as I had of 1 skein of the yarn I wanted to use plus a bit left over from a previous project.

This is a very pretty pattern and I like that there is flexibility on size. The pattern is charted and has written instructions. I only used the charts. I added an extra 2 repeats of chart B so my finished shawl ended up being 210x116cm (82.6x45.7”) after blocking.

I imagine this pattern would work well in a variety of weights if you played around with the numbers but it would lose the delicate airiness of the lace weight.

RE: placing markers for chart B: I had to rip back the chart b section as placing stitchmarkers for the pattern repeats does not work. However, the repeat isn’t complicated so I don’t mind keeping it in my head. I have been putting in lifelines for each chart repeat just in case :)

RE: the look of the border. Due to a small error in the legend for chart C, my border is in stockinette rather than garter stitch. The final pattern has been amended :) Both ways look equally lovely!
