SUPPOSED TO be finishing SECOND sock, but I was sick for the first two weeks of December and am so behind on Christmas crafting I could cry. BOO.

Just thinking about the pace of knitting socks, and how I always think I’m going to bang out a pair in a month. But…I’ve liked the amount of knitting I’ve been doing on these each day, and think it’s a good amount.

A stripe a day on these = 23 days x 2 = 46 days = 6/7 weeks.

Mentally, I would be happier if I could internally adjust my expectations to assume it takes 6-7 weeks to make a pair of socks.

Put in some overtime on these over the weekend, coupled with a muscle relaxer evening where all I was capable of was stockinette stitch = Finished earlier than anticipated.

I checked on a UFO that is using this pattern and noticed that the needles seemed huge, so I checked the needles that I knit these socks on and found out that they were Size 0! No wonder they seemed to take FOREVER to knit up. I blocked them yesterday and am now more than a little nervous that they won’t fit Michael at all. ARGH!!! I don’t know how I did that.
