In my button collection I found 2 retro cloth covered buttons that matched perfectly!

The handle is made of tunisian stitches using a regular crochet hook. I love how it looks like covered bamboo.

The side panels and bottom are made of smaller versions of the main motif’s first 4 rounds.

The pieces were assembled using a staggered top stitch making it sturdier than just crocheting the pieces together.

I hand-sewed the liner for the inside with a nice black on grey cotton with a nice pattern.
