Knitting from the centre out, per slohne’s instructions. Found her charts a bit hard to read because of the poor resolution, so remade them for myself before I cast on. Here they are, but with quite a few modifications from the original.

Modifications and tips:

• Cast on with 2.5 mm DPNs, switched to 3 mm circulars on row 23 (most people knit looser on DPNs than circulars.
• Knit the border way shorter - included just the large cloud pattern - because I was short on time and the blanket looked to be nearing the correct proportion already.
• Knit the edge directly onto the blanket, instead of knitting separately and sewing it on.

Progress:
Primarily knitting this because I had so much left over cotton after my wall hanging, but a friend who is very sensitive to wool is having a baby in May, so I figured she might be happy about a baby blanket in cotton for her spring/summer baby.

After completing the first chart I took a few months break to deal with my own morning sickness. Picked it up again around the start of April as I entered my second trimester.

April 16: Finally starting the edge. Ready to be done soon!
May 13: Baby’s due date, and I finished today. Finally! Excited to start knitting for my own baby now!
