Notes

I increased the size by knitting 9 repeats of chart two for twelve rows of eyelet clusters. I ran out of yarn at the very end, so the edge blocked as scallops instead of points. I added 6/0 clear, silver-lined seed beads, three on every eyelet cluster and the rest in the leaf border.

I loved using the yarn that I did for this project. It’s very soft and the silver strands add just the perfect amount of sparkle and do not look tacky and are not scratchy.

The pattern knitted up quickly and was completed in plenty of time to give it as a gift to a bride.

It was my first attempt at blocking a shawl, which I did on my bedroom carpet over towels, using T-pins. I did not wish to invest in either foam mats or blocking wires and discovered that neither was needed, although they might have saved time.

I would definitely knit this pattern again, and have purchased more patterns from this designer, although they’re far enough back in my project queue that I don’t know when I’ll get to them.
