Basic Solid Square
- Chain 4 join to begin.
- Begin each round with ch 3, DC. Close round with (ch1, SC in top of ch 3.)
- Stitch count per side (3, 7, 11, 15, 19, 21)
- Stitch count per round (12, 28, 44, 60, 76, 84)

- Starting with Round 3, Ex-FPDC every third stitch.

Joining
Using (SC, Ch 2, skip stitch, SC) join with chain 3 in corners.

Border
Continue pattern of (SC, ch 2, skip stitch, SC) for edges. Outside corner is (SC, ch 1, SC in ch 3 sp, ch 1, SC). Interior corners for Lovey One were (Ch 1, XDC3 tog, ch 1, SC) and for Lovey Two were (Ch 1, SC in ch 3 sp, XDC-TC-XDCtog, SC in ch 3 sp, ch 1, SC).
