A bit smaller, I’ve shrunk the graph of the first one by a LOT of stitches wide and twenty rows.

On April 7 I hit 30%. Not breaking records on this one for speed. The picture shows the front and back graphs, as well as the MANY balls of yarn attached to the project. One thing I learned from the first version -- do NOT use more than two skeins at a time. Make a ball, hold it with a rubber band, and you won’t spend so much time untangling. Still hoping to finish by April 24, but won’t be holding my breath.

April 19, and only 50%. Don’t think I’ll finish by the Hogwarts deadline of the 24th. Oh, well. We’ll see how far I DO get … .

April 24, and only a couple of more rows done. So, I’m calling it “50%” as of now.

May 5, at 60%. You can see it’s MUCH smaller than the previous version. VERY little black around the edges -- the ship goes almost to the edge. Now I’m worried it’s too small!

December 17th the afghan was given. It’s now hanging on Jim’s wall.
