Yet another baby blanket for our new little boy due in November.

His nursery has cloud motifs, so when I saw this blanket I thought it was a must have.

It’s a nice straightforward pattern. I am enjoying making this one as I’m following the written pattern and using the chart for reference.

It is so much easier than just working from the chart as I have in previous C2C projects.

I’m using Hayfield Bonus D.K. which is slightly more robust than Stylecraft Special D.K. and Paintbox Simply D.K., mainly because of the colour. It is a very nice subtle blue.

I think the yarn is very suited to C2C as it keeps it’s shape well. I sometime have tilting when I make C2C, but so far it seems to be keeping straight using this yarn.

The pattern calls for Aran/Worsted Weight, but I am using D.K. as I find Aran is a little heavy for a new born.

I am also working dc stitches instead of hdc as I’m using the finer yarn.
