Notes

Bonnie is hosting a CAL on Youtube for this throw. I looked in my craft room and found I had 15 balls of cream, so I decided to join in with the fun.

I am making my throw with d.k., so I have started with 200 ch.

First panel is woven stitch. I have done this st before for the top and bottom borders, but I do like it used as a panel.

Since I have more rows to work, I decided to add an extra pattern panel either side of the centre panel. I chose to do popcorn.

I always use dc instead of sc for my popcorns and don’t change hook size.

Really enjoying this throw, I haven’t made one for a long time, which is unusual for me.

This throw is going to replace this one. I have used it so much, it has got a little bobbly, as I didn’t use good enough yarn.

I find that Stylecraft Special D.K. has a lovely feel and texture, much better than the yarn I used previously for these throws.

I did put the cable/arrow panel at the top and bottom for border, but I didn’t like the edging it did, so I frogged both borders, 200grms of yarn, ouch.

I decided to do the woven stitch borders that I have used for previous throws and am much happier with the finished look.

I am looking forward to using this blanket, it is much heavier than my previous one, so it will be very cosy.

You can find all of my aran throws here
