Sarah was expecting a baby boy to be born in December, but baby had other ideas and decided to be born today, weighing in a just 3lbs 6oz, bless him.

We always knew he would come into the world a tad early, but not this early!

Louie weighed in at 3lbs 6 ozs which i think is a good weight for a preemie and considering he is 10 weeks early.

I have already made some bonding squares and 2 blankets.

I asked Sarah if she would like an octopus last week. She hadn’t heard of them, but after research was quite keen on me making one for baby.

Luckily I had ordered the stuffing and already had a supply of 4ply cotton, so when I heard baby had arrived, I had a few hours notice to make the octopus.

All done and ready to be taken to the hospital tonight. It took me around 3 hours to complete.

Louie loves his octopus. Mummy has named him Ollie the Octopus.
