I made this blanket a while ago to put in my stash for when a baby boy came along.

It wasn’t long before one did Gifted to Pri’s baby boy Luan who was born 12 March 2022, welcome to the world Luan

This one is two blues and white

4 cloud blue = 44 rows = 29 sts from peak to valley
finishing with a round of crab stitch in cloud blue.

I’ve noticed that my blankets don’t lie flat, so I’ve adjusted the pattern sequence to address this

This is my alteration if you’re interested:

Rounds 1 - 5 as pattern
Round 6 Small shell + 2 dc’s
Round 7 Large shell + 2 dc’s
Round 8 Large shell +3 dc’s
Round 9 Small shell + 4 dc’s
Round 10 Large shell + 4 dc’s
Round 11 Large shell + 5 dc’s

When you look at the pattern it is 2 rounds with large shell and the 3rd round with small shell, which keeps it flat.

The pattern is written with rounds 4, 5 and 6 with large shells, so by changing round 6 to small shells is keeping the sequence correct and the right amount of increased stitches.
