I’m making a set of coasters for my Daughter Susie and her Fiance Luke’s new home.

They just wanted solid colours. I added a round of crab stitch for the final round. I ended up making 2 of each colour.

When I had made the coasters, of course they needed a basket. I found a Youtube tutorial here

I started the base of the basket with cream and then used all of the colours for the main body. I didn’t use the cream up the side as I was running short, so I didn’t follow the tutorial to the letter, I just used the same colour for both rows of pattern. I then used the remaining cream for the lining.

This basket tutorial is ingenious, you make the basket and lining all in one and place strips of plastic canvas in between to strengthen the sides
