My sister Ann is a big fan of Nutcracker Christmas ornaments, so when I saw this pattern pop up I thought I would have to make it for her.

It was very quick to make, only taking me an evening to complete.

I used some cream mohair for his hair and beard as I didn’t have any roving, but I think it turned out o.k.

A nice easy pattern to follow.

It turns out that Nutcrackers are like Marmite, you either love them or hate them.

My daughter Cathy and granddaughter Annabel have come out on the hate side, they think they’re creepy so less to make for me.

I have made 5 more simultaneously and nearly have them completed.

My sister Ann loved hers and my niece wants one, so I think have have takers for my extra 5 and its a relief that I don’t have to make any more, as apparently I have 3 Baby Yoda’s to make all of a sudden according to my 3 grandsons
