Notes

I saw this blanket by MadebyAnita on Instagram and had to make it.

I’ve been collecting the yarn needed, I had a lot of it already, but had to buy the variegated for the centres.

For years I have admired a Cath Kidston inspired hexagon blanket and I was so pleased to come across the vintage colourway of the blanket that I have wanted to make for a long time.

I started making all of the pink centres. Using up 2 x 50gr balls and then I realised that I would need some smaller centres for the half hexies. Nevermind, I can always buy another ball for these. I’m going to wait for now to see how big I want to make it.

I used a 4mm hook for the centres, but when I started to add the following rounds, I decided to change to a 4.50 mm hook, as the hexies were quite dence.

At the moment I’m making all of the hexies to round 3 all ready for the joining rounds.

I’m enjoying making these as I’ve been waiting to make this blanket for a few months. I just had to get all of the baby things for Eddie and Christmas Ornaments made first.

Its good to be back to what I love doing.

I really enjoyed making this blanket and may start another one soon. Just have a few baby blankets to make first.
