I modified the design to create a stochinette section of the blanket. I see that multi-colour yarns look best in stockinette.
The crochet border prevents the stochinette rolling and gives a decorative effect. I made it in stacked shells of 3dc, ch2, 3dc. 2 prep rows of sc and one final row of sc worked as such: 2sc in next 2 stitches, in ch2 space work 2sc, ch2, 2sc, 2sc in next 2 stitches, 2sc cluster in next 2 stitches. repeat around.
