I love the way this hat turned out, even though it’s a bit roomy. It stays on, that’s all that matters. :)

I used a really standard hat pattern to start with--the one in the Knitter’s Book of Handy Patterns--and I used a mosaic pattern from one of Walker’s pattern treasuries that makes a sort of letter T. The recipient’s nickname is Tex. :)

The background is the oatmeal Fishermen’s Wool, which I really like, and the handspun makes the Ts. The gradations in the handspun look terrific against the warm heathered beige.

Apparently, the big goon WASHED A HANDWASH-ONLY HAT. So it now fits a six-year-old. >_<
