This pattern has no written instructions and all comments are in Finnish (I think) but the photographs are brilliantly clear so even this beginner can work out what’s going on.

I don’t know what yarn or hook was intended for this pattern but I used a 5mm hook, though my yarn suggests a 6mm. It’s a bit chunky but not a proper chunky yarn. The variegated colours will give a muted rainbow finish.

I got the yarn from the Red Cross charity shop - they seem to be selling new yarns now (only £2.49 for a 100g ball of this stuff). It is also now being sold as James C Brett Marble Chunky.

Oh and I made a mistake right near the beginning of the big square for the back, so I’ve had to fudge it further along. I could have re-made it but …

This cardigan is super warm - it’s like wearing a blanket. Perfect for Glastonbury and other festivals when the night draws in.
