In order to drop the neckline a bit, I worked 4 additional rows straight on the fronts before I started the short rows. I also did one extra short row one each side. I also added 4 straight rows on the bottom of the back after I joined the shoulders.

My gauge was tighter than the pattern because I liked the fabric I was getting with the US3 needles; so, I sized up to Medium. It gave me the right amount of ease at the bust. The hips were going to need a little more ease; so, after 7” of body, I increased two stitches each side every 2 inches X 3.

Because my gauge was different, I needed a little more yarn to finish my top. Luckily, I found some; so, it actually took more than 2 skeins of yarn.
