Because I couldnt decide what to knit, I decided to go with what I knew and started knitting another Babaa No 23 dupe with the same (alterated) Seúl Cardigan pattern the other day. I gambled and hope the amount of yarn will be enough. Otherwise… I will cry. I will first know when I am almost done. Might end up cropped and without pockets. We will see :)

I googled a bit and this yarn might be Istex Alafoss Lopi in Col 56 Ash Heather. But I am not 100% sure. I guess I might order some in case I really run out of yarn significantly

I worked the sleeves: I decreased 5 times as mentioned in the pattern and continued with 10 rows before I started with 10 rows in 1:1 rib plus two rows double knitting and finished with Italian BO. I skipped the pleat

I worked the body almost to the end just to realize that the yarn will probably not be enough with the button band and collar not done yet. I guess I will order Alafosslopi in col 56 to see if it is the right yarn because I really do not want to compromise on the length and all with this project.

The yarn arrived and it is not col. 56 not sure if it is one of the other colorways, I have to do more research

I was in our local yarn store and she had a color card with all the Alafoss Lopi colorways and it is Col. 86!!! As I first thought. Damn, that I questioned myself and have two balls of col 56 here now with no use. I ordered the right color now but it can take up to 10 days until I can get it.

I finally got more yarn of the right color and now started with the button band. My last No.23 project I think I picked up 4 stitches and skipped the 5th but I found it too tight so I try 5 and skip 6th this time and pick up a bit more loose.

Buttonband and collar done - today I will sew in the ends and block it :) Then it is done. I will take some final pictures later.
Because I only bought one more skein and was missing only a bit of yarn to finish the second pocket, I decided to not add pockets because I don’t want to buy a second skein just for that or open up the sleeves again. I rather leave it like this :)
