This backpack will be lined with some heavy-duty cloth and some removable foam between the lining and the outer crochet to protect my uncles back from the hard metal tank. I plan on making the shoulder-straps adjustable with D-rings so they can be worn crossed over the chest or not. There will also be an attached belt, also adjustable with D-rings, to help with take some of the weight of the tank off his shoulders and chest. There is also plans for some pockets for excess tubing and medications, and possibly a grommet to thread the hose through.

The backpack is so close to being finished. Essentially, the crocheting has been finished for months, it has been the lining and the sewing that has been taking me a long time to finish. I still need to add the snaps to the pocket for the back foam cushion, and I need to make the cover for the round foam cushion for the bottom of the pack. The foam is to help protect his back and the oxygen tank.
