PATTERN//top down
1. long tail cast on 60 sts
-30 sts on each needle (circular needle)

  1. cuff : (k2 p2) 10 rounds

  2. leg: repeat “broken seed stitch pattern” 8 times (=32 rounds)

  3. heel flap: -w/ single-colour yarn -work row1&2 below on the next 30 sts for 11 times… row1: (wyib sl1 as if to purl, k1) repeat to end, turn row2: wyif sl1 as if to purl, purl to end, turn

  4. turn the heel: -w/ single-colour yarn -wyib sl1 as if to purl, k16, k2tog, k1, turn -wyif sl1 as if to purl, p5, p2tog, p1, turn -repeat row1&2 below until all sts worked… row1: sl1 aitp, knit to 1 st before gap, k2tog, k1, turn row2: sl1 aitp, purl to 1 st before gap, p2tog, p1, turn -k18 (=knit across the heel flap)

  5. gusset+decrease: -pick up 11 sts (still w/ single-colour yarn) -k30 (thses 30sts is foot top) -should naturally come the the variegated yarn that was dropped off; change to vairegated yarn -pick up 11 sts (the 22 pick up sts and 18 heel flap is sole) -continue broken seed stitch pattern but only for foot top -plain knit for sole, while decreasing (k1, ssk, knit to last 3 sts, k2tog, k1) until 30sts left on sole (total 60 sts) -work until having 48 rounds from gusset, ending w/ variegated yarn

  6. toe -decrease: (k1, ssk, knit to last 3 sts, k2tog, k1) for both foot top and sole -first decrease on 49 round (single-colour yarn) -work 3 rounds of “broken seed stitch pattern” -second decrease (single-colour yarn) -work 1 rounds of “broken seed stitch pattern” -cut variegated yarn -decrease EVER OTHER round w/ single-colour yarn, until 16 sts left in total (8 sts on each needle) -cut yarn, leaving 20cm tail for Kitchener stitch finishing https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W7i5JwEReW0
