Everything is AWESOME!!!

Super excited to finally be casting on these socks!! This is the 4th pair of socks for the Socks With Sarah KAL.

I’ll be knitting these toe-up with an afterthought heel.

Plain Vanilla Sock Recipe:

• CO 12sts = 24sts total using Turkish CO method
• k1 rnd.
• inc: Rnd 1 - * k1, m1R, k to last st on needle, m1L, k1; rep from * . Rnd 2 - k.
• Rep the 2 rnds until 32 sts per needle = 64 sts total.
• Knit until foot measures 6.75” (65 rnds) - approx. 1.5-2” before end of foot
• Knit in waste yarn on half of sts (this is the afterthought part!!), return sts to left hand needle
• Knit 84 rnds
• Inc: ndl 1 - k12, m1R, k to 12 sts rem on ndl, m1L, k12; ndl 2 - k all sts.
• k 10 rnds
• rep last 2 steps until 72sts total.
• k 2x2 ribbing for 30 rnds = 2”

Yay! Finished the first sock!! This is taking longer than anticipated, mainly because I was concentrating on knitting other things.

May 29, 2014:
Had to take a mini hiatus from these socks to knit a few donation knits and another pair of socks, but I’m back at it now. I’m hoping to finish these for #stashdash2014

June 15, 2014:
Finito!! Used the trip up to Duncan for Lindsay’s wedding to finish these bad boys. I love how they turned out. Now to get my project bag back from Lindsay before she goes on her honeymoon so that I can take proper FO photos!
