4/20: just road tested the functionality of this. Very pleased with it. I really never use bar soaps, but this worked very well. Would make a great handmade gift with some homemade soap.
It is a pretty quick project. The seed nubs make great exfoliators. It can become a bit monotonous, which makes for good mindless knitting.

4/23: Pattern is available for download. Will be editing to add a soap recipe. With Mother’s Day coming up, I think these would make great handmade gifts. May also include a candle cozy & candle recipe as a gift kit.
