Pattern ask for a row of knit to help the fold to stay in place…but in sample, you can’t see this row (but on project’s photo it’s kind of too much visible), I’m not sure the designer did this row o/ why ? Because it’s not neat for photos ?

Alternate cable cast-on
1 stand of suri with 2 stands of fingering yarn.
Add one repeat of chart, only 2 fold for brim.
Add decreases to end up with 16 stitches instead of 40 (how do you expect to close the hole properly with this amount of stitches ??!)

It was not a pleasure to knit : too tight with this thickness of yarn, pain in my hand.
Too short, I don’t understand needles size recommendation with dk+2strands of lace, it looked nice on picture, but something is off.
