Barbie - Miss May 1993

The finished lady at the beach. She is enjoying the view.

1. I started with the cape using regular treble stitches.

2. Side Panel. I didn't like the separate treble stitches so I decided to use joint treble stitches.

3. Bustle pad.

4. The hat is pretty small. I will embellish it with flowers and a feather

5.The parasol is soooo big. But I managed to have it look similar to the pattern one

6. The train with the first flower and leaf spray.

7. The bottom inner part of the pillow form

8. See how small the mock up became? I had to increase the number of stitches to get it better.

9. Here is the dress with the sleeves missing.

10. The bodice is now finished too.

11. The flower spray of the skirt.

12. The outfit is done! Now onto the Barbie herself.

13. This hair was horrible! Just awful!

14. So I cut it all short. Then I heated the head and removed it from the body.

15. I pulled all the hair out of the head and then continued to remove the paint with nail polish remover.

16. I painted the head in a dark brown tone similar to the tone of the hair that I bought.
17. Such gorgeous long brown hair!

18. The hair from the back.

19. It took a long time, but it is so rewarding.
