Here we go! I started one of my dream projects today…the Sock Yarn Blanket by Shelly Kang.

The 9th picture shows my bottom row of squares. There are 20 squares for the bottom row. I may make it bigger…undecided at this time.

9/18/13: Going on 4 years. What can I say? I knit slow.

5/26/12: Doesn’t look like much has changed since February but I have added 71 squares since the last photo.

I am often asked how long it has taken me since I have been working on it for so long. Each little square takes me about 30 minutes. The big squares take me about 2 hours. I am around 1,000 squares and counting.

Thoughts on the border: I love Antique Jeans by Claudia Hand Painted and Dream in Color Smooshy in Purple Rain. Winter Solstice by Blue Moon fiber Arts/Socks that Rock is also an option! I decided to go with the Claudia in Antique Jeans. The border took 44.6 grams.
