Notes

Needle 3 metal, magic loop. After a few attempts at larger sizes and larger needles, settled on the following numbers for an adult medium.

Co then 40sts
8 dot rounds before gusset
Large child gusset
No decreases before top, followed 40 st instructions for top.

Thumb: 18 sts, followed big kid size, no repeat.

Note: second mitt came out a bit smaller? Did I really use a size 4 for the first one after the icord?

On both thumbs and second mitten top subbed cdd for the double decrease.

I think the thickness of yarns used may really change the size of the mitten. May have to experiment a bit to get needle size and pattern size to marry up. I didn’t want an oversized mitten and the large child worked for my average sized hands, probably because of my very thick yarn.
