Making for my nephew.

All the shapes are good per pattern. Only issue I’ve had with the pattern is that it’s pretty sparse on assembly instructions, particularly for the small detail pieces. I get that it’s arguably self explanatory where each piece should be sewn to the body, but I wish they’d included more close ups/additional angles of the FO among the photos. I’m only complaining because I initially added the nostrils just as little tabs standing up, not realizing that they should be folded over until studying the pictures more closely.

One other nitpick- I wasn’t sure if the pieces were intended to be crochet in the round with a sl st join at the end of each round, or spiraling without round joins. I assumed the former.

Also, I initially thought there was something off with the counts for the tab at the end of the arm instructions. But I realized the 2nd decrease is supposed to be from the last stitch of the row down to the top-of-arm round sts. Only realized what was wanted when fisinishing arm 2, and had to go back and fix arm 1.

Admittedly, I do very little amigurumi, so some of the above might have been obvious to someone more experienced. One day I may even look up a tutorial on how to improve on sewing pieces together. I just whip stitch everything.

I hate the fingers and toes. How does one crochet in the round with just 3 stitches?

Decided to felt the eyes to the body. My first time at this technique, and I’m so-so on the results. Though that’s partly because I sharpies the pupils because I only had white felt.
