Just casting on, Latvian braid in size 3 and then alternate ribbing in size 0. I did some swatches and loving this yarn!!
So I’ve started this over AGAIN. Seems like I’m always starting over a project 2-3 times before I actually make it but oh well. I knit the ribbing in a 2 and did a 2x2 and then a Latvian braid in a 4. Then to body knitting with a 3. The body is a 3 stitch alternation leaning swirl. The hands go into each other so each mitten has the swirl towards the middle. Gusset increases I just did a 1x1 color alternation because adding the pattern into the gusset would’ve been tricky.
The stitch counts and increase are actually from the paradigm pattern. I was going to do that pattern but it just wasn’t working for these colors so another day. But the stitch counts work for me!
I just set the thumb stitches aside and cast on 6 new stitches to add to the palm body. With have to split for the fold over soon!

Well I have Cast Off both mittens and they genuinely look great! For the trouble I was having with the yarns not being contrasty enough to hold a pattern, I think they turned out great. Its subtle but its there if you look for it.
I will block them later today and we will see how they look! They turned out a bit tight so I want to block it out. I am also thinking of writing up a pattern for this and test knitting a design! Who knows :)

Also I have this marked as using the Tin Can Knits pattern, and its not really that pattern. I mostly just used their sizing for cast on, but its really my own design. If you are someone who found this project from the Tin Can Knits mitten pattern, this is not that unfortunately.
