My first try at this hat (with this yarn) turned out cute, but on the small side for an adult. I used a smaller needle than called for, because I didn’t have a size 9 with a long enough cable that I actually liked using, so I substituted a size 8 circular needle.

Now I’ve got a size 9 that I like, so I’ll try the pattern again and see what happens!

On the increase round after the brim, I end up with one extra stitch, so on the following round, I k2tog on the last two stitches.

For the lace pattern, I find it helpful to put a stitch marker between each repeat (every 15 sts).
