I need something to occupy the free time between clues for “Athena”, and this one looks like a relatively quick project.

Picking this back up after finally finishing “Athena”.

I’m cheating on Round 21. Just don’t have the patience to dc in back loop of so many chains (especially with this splitty a thread in this dark of a color). I’m just crocheting into the chain space instead. It might change the look of the doily, but I’m sure it’ll be fine.

Finished! Altering Round 21 to make it easier (for me) didn’t cause any problems later in the pattern. There is a slight difference in the look, but it’s not enough to worry me. A fair trade in terms of how frustrating and time-consuming it would have been to crochet into all those chains!
