Cap sleeve modification:

Join yarn in center of the bottom of the armpit. Pick up and knit 4 stitches then knit 10 more stitches. Place marker. Knit 28 more stitches, place marker; markers denote the short row shaping. Knit to end of stitches, pick up and knit 4 more stitches and join in the round. Knit 2 rounds plain. Knit to second marker, w&t, purl to one stitch before marker, w&t. Knit to 7 stitches before last turn, w&t. Purl to 7 stitches before last turn, w& t. Repeat one more time. Knit to end of round, picking up wraps and knitting together with stitches. Knit next round (pickup wraps with stitches). Purl next round. Knit next row, purl next row, knit next row, then purl bind off with a stretchy bind off.

Don’t love the sleeves-- will knit them on double points next time. Blocked out beautifully! Larger than 3 month size.
