Making this for my granddaughter’s 9th birthday. She’s tall and thin, but making a bigger size so it will “grow” with her. :)

Open back version.

Size 12/14 for body width, 14/16 length.

Used US 13 needles for fin, plus added 4 extra rows on each side of fin to increase size.

Used US 11 needles for body.

Used US 10.5 needles for the ribbing because it seemed too loose with the bigger needles. Gathered the top of the fin, sewed it inside the ribbing and then sewed it closed.
